The small purpose-built resort of S'Algar is situated on the southeast corner of Menorca, six miles from the island's capital, Mahon city and airport. The secluded resort features a man-made beach, which, though quite small and narrow, is perfect for families. It is also complete with sunbeds and umbrellas. The longer natural beach of Cala Alcaufar is a 15-minute stroll away.
S'Algar is renowned for its abundance of sports facilities, including scuba diving, jet skiing, windsurfing, and water skiing. The Las Palmeras Apartments are situated in the upper part of S'algar next to the Nature Reserve of Rafalet.They comprise 72 apartments of either 1 or 2 storeys, each having 1 or 2 double bedrooms, a combined living and dining area, kitchen, full bathroom and furnished terrace. The complex is arranged around the large swimming pool with childrens pool. There is a large sun terrace with sunbeds, which is served by the bar. Also on the complex is a very good restaurant for those who prefer to take a break from cooking. The resort of S'Algar has a good mixture of restaurants from Chinese to Italian, with a lovely a la carte restaurant overlooking the sea at the lido. A mini train makes getting around the resort easy! The Lido has a lovely pool by the sea with plenty of sunbeds. This is an excellent self contained resort with fabulous sea views and plenty to do for everyone.
