Cala San Vicente Holidays

Nestled on the northeast corner of Ibiza, Cala San Vicente is set in one of the most unspoilt areas of the island. Its curved golden-sand beach spans approximately 400 metres in length and is set against a backdrop of pine-clad hills. Spectacular views of the whole bay are best observed from the winding hilltop road leading into the resort - in fact this has been described as one of most magnificent drives on the island.

San Vicente is Ibiza's smallest village, but still has a reasonable selection of shops and restaurants. The pedestrian promenade is fringed with palm trees and pretty boats are often moored in the bay. Recreational activities on the beach include windsurfing or hiring pedaloes and banana boats. The transparent shallow waters of Cala San Vicente are perfect for children.

There are also a number of adventurous hiking trails in the surrounding hills. High above the village is the Cova d'es Cuieram, a cave used in ancient times to ensure safe passage to the after-life. The archaeological finds in this cave have proved the island was inhabited even before the arrival of the Greeks. Unfortunately the cave is no longer accessible as it's deemed too dangerous, but it's still worth the climb for the breathtaking views at the top.
